Description
Simple a DLNA compatible media server. It allows stream multimedia files (photo / music / video) from Android devices to any UPnP / DLNA client, for example, Smart TV, Play Station or Xbox 360, etc. There is support playlists (m3u, m3u8, pls) just specify the playlist file. Now server supports getting data from SMB and FTP. Just add Network share like: smb://user:pass@server/share or ftp://user:pass@server:port/ftpdir

Very simple and useful at same time. I use it through vlc media player. However, I think vlc or dlna server has some problem that sometimes the server can't scan, have to try some time

So easy it's like buttering bread Dump your "swap meet" movie/music files into folder. Tell app where folder is. Turn on. Open media player on Xbox or whatever that's on the same Wi-Fi. Bam! There's your movies. Works like a dream for Series X media player. Just don't accidentally put your homemade porn into the folder while ur at work, as every media player on the Wi-Fi will be able to access. And you betteribelieve Carl is going to watch it right there in the break room. You know how he is!

Running on a chromebook, the app will grab the android container IP and not be viewable outside the chromebook. There are SO posts on how to get the parent IP for proper broadcasting. Otherwise, the app is simple, and to the point. It should work well on a real android device.

Freezes the os for 30 secs when I try to view the log file, then crashes. SMB option fails to start. Adding multiple share directories is cumbersome on Android TV device. Can not disable logging and log file just keeps growing.

Does not refresh media. Looks like you need to refresh it in Android which can be done with fx file browser, but I would prefer if this app could trigger that on a set interval while its open.
