Smart Developer Great app to buy for Sony NSZ-GT1 with a network hard drive. I can actually play all my formats with this app, when I had a connection issue 2yrs back I actually got help from the developer and solved the problem. Works with 1st gen Ipad streaming videos from most non subscribed websites though on the same sites it doesn't work with my android phone. Hopefully the developer fixes that issue, other than that this app is the best for older Google tv devices. I must purchase.

Good App, Best for SMB Streaming This app works great for streaming just about every media format you can throw at it - EXCEPT for anything with DTS. This is a limitation of Google TV, not Vimu. I've noticed that switching between video formats in the same viewing session will cause the player to slow down and eventually crash. A reboot will fix it, you can prevent it by occasionally exiting the application then restarting.

It's a great application for my Sony Bra via 55XS7005. I had many problems with the Sony Android native player when play from DLNA server. This player is the most stable what I tried. Maybe some features would be nice when select the audio stream and subtitle. I prefer to have a popup window to select the languages. And a most useful features would be a button for just toggle switch on/off the subtitle. When I watch some movies with more subtitles (3-4 or more) and just want to switch on /off without going through all the languages before off.

90% of movies will NOT play! I've paid for this app, but I'm not able to use it. About 90% of movies will NOT play because the audio is not decoded - i.e. this app cannot decode audio formats.

Not playing certain files won't play a lot of my movies. doesn't work any better than the free video players. Actually worse!

Nfs doesn't work yet having trouble getting nfs to work. Maybe the format of the expected value doesn't match but can't find documentation on it. Overall navigation on the app is terrible. Has those strange facebook-app-style overlays that don't work well for a tv, and they get stuck over the "open url" button. I find I have to use http server to copy url to video then paste into vimu -- maybe vimu doesn't get associated with video files in android. Gets 2 stars just because It's marginally better than the browser's built-in video play that leaves scrubber and controls on screen during entire video and vimu also allows quick aspect switch.
