Turn off your screen without repeatedly pressing the hardware power button.

Double Tap Screen Lock places a small, movable LOCK area on your Home screen. Drag it to a comfortable position, then double tap it whenever you want to lock your device.

KEY FEATURES

• Double tap the floating LOCK area to turn the screen off
• Drag the LOCK area and keep its position between sessions
• Use Home-screen-only mode to reduce accidental locks in other apps
• Adjust double-tap timing and distance
• Follow a guided setup for the required Android permissions
• Check whether your device reports hardware double-tap-to-wake support
• Choose light, dark, or system theme
• Use English, Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Thai, Indonesian, or Vietnamese

ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE

This app uses Android's AccessibilityService API for its core screen-lock feature. The service receives window and app-state change events so it can determine whether the Home screen is visible. When you double tap the LOCK area, it performs Android's global lock action.

The service is configured not to retrieve screen content. It does not read or collect typed text, passwords, personal messages, or other screen content. Accessibility data is not stored, sold, or shared.

Before Android accessibility settings open, the app shows an in-app disclosure. You must actively check the agreement and choose “Agree and continue.” You can decline and continue using Android normally without enabling the service.

• Display over other apps: shows the small LOCK area on the Home screen.
• Foreground service and notification: keep the user-enabled lock service visible and available.
• Battery settings: optional guidance for devices that stop background services aggressively.

ABOUT SCREEN WAKE

This app turns the screen off. It does not add or enable a software screen-on gesture. If your device has its own hardware double-tap-to-wake feature, the app reports its detected status and directs you to confirm it in Android settings.
