Description
Climb aboard the Wayfinder — an ancient, sentient drifting craft — and glide across Driftlands, an open world of endless painted realms. Every expedition is different: fresh realms, fresh weather, and fresh discoveries each time you play.
EXPLORE COUNTLESS REALMS Every realm is procedurally generated, so no two adventures are ever the same. Roam a living open world of forests, golden prairies, icy expanses, misty swamps, scorched wastes, crystal caverns, and stranger places still. • Discover dozens of biomes, each with its own terrain, weather, and hazards to adapt to. • Uncover hidden places — a giant waterfall, ancient ruins, or the witch's roaming house that walks the drift on its own legs. • Ride the Wayfinder or hop off and explore any spot on foot, at your own pace.
MEET THE HEARTHFOLK Land in Hearthvale, a frontier town of villagers who live their own lives. They talk, sit, stroll the lanes, fish at the docks, and greet you by name in their own voices.
TAKE ON QUESTS Townsfolk offer dozens of quests — track a wild deer, circle the standing stones, find the hidden waterfall, or watch the sunrise from the old dock. • Take on fresh daily challenges that give every player a new set of goals each day. • Earn coins and rewards that fund your next expedition.
CAST A LINE Fishing is woven right into the world. Cast from the docks in Hearthvale, along any shoreline, or out across the coasts and reefs of the water realms. • Watch the float, wait for the bite, then hold to reel your catch in. • Land nine species across five rarity tiers, from a common bite to the elusive Elder Mossback. • Fill your Angler's Log — every first catch is recorded, and the rarest ones are still out there waiting. • Some fish swallow useful materials for your next build.
CRAFT AND UPGRADE Gather materials on your expeditions and build back at the Workshop. • Harvest driftwood, fieldstone, ore, and rarer finds scattered across the biomes. • Craft and upgrade your Wayfinder — thrusters, climb fins, wake skimmers, and more — to travel farther and reach places you couldn't before.
CHOOSE YOUR RESEARCHER Pick who rides the drift with you from a growing roster of Guild Researchers. Every save starts with one free Researcher, and you can add more as you go.
BEWARE THE HUNTER For those who want a real test, the Hunter is an optional challenge — an ancient predator that stalks the drift. He sees your trail and never forgets. Wake him when you want the stakes, pause him from settings when you don't. You can run, but you can't hide.
FREE TO PLAY Driftlands is free to play. Explore the realms, take on quests, fish, and craft at no cost. Coins can be collected all over the world, and optional purchases — new Researchers, realm charters, coin packs, and the Hunter challenge — support the game's development. Purchases enhance your journey; they never gate the adventure.
