Description
DroidPiper enables you to view, play and edit your .bww bagpipe music files on the go. An excellent learning tool for pipers, that allows pipers to hear how tunes should sound and even play along with them.
Comes with an assortment of 1407 popular and traditional bagpipe tunes, which can optionally be installed with the app. These files can be found on most android devices by opening the "My files" app on your device, then looking in the root folder for the "BWW Tunes" folder.
You can also play your personal .bww files, by downloading them on to on your device then selecting "Open a file" and navigating through the folders and files on your device to where your tunes are located.

I have used the older version 1.4 for a long time and was pleased to see an update. Being able to modify the tempo is a great feature when learning new tunes. However, Droid Piper doesn't seem to read double dots "." which I find a little frustrating. A feature I would like to see is some sort of lead-in to give me time to get my fingers from the play button to the chanter before the first note sounds.

Nice app. Good to have an android replacement for BMW. Three small quibbles. 1. A tune search function would be helpful. 2. When I add my own BWW files in separate folders the contents don't appear in alphabetical order, although they do with File Manager or ES File Explorer. 3. No difference between the chanter only and bagpipe instrument options. Both chanter only. Nonetheless, good app and good value for money.

Could not get it to work, had old version and got new phone, tried to install new version, and it would not work for me.

New device download and installed, but I can't open newly copied and pasted bww files! They've been created. I can see them when creating a new file, just cannot open them. So what's up?!
