Droidfiles: File Manager

Droidfiles is a file manager for Android with the power features of the classics, in an interface that takes its colors from your wallpaper.

See what's in a file before you open it
• Video frames with their length, and a line for how far you got
• The first page of a PDF, and the first lines of a text file
• An APK's own icon, and whether that app is already installed

A proper video player
• Frame previews while you drag the seek bar
• Double-tap to skip, drag for brightness and volume in full screen
• Playback speed, repeat, and subtitles from .srt and .vtt files
• Picture-in-picture, and pick up where you left off
• The rest of the folder one tap away, playing on by itself
• Keep listening when you leave: the sound carries on in the background

• Opens instantly, even with thousands of files, and catches up in the background
• Browse internal storage and SD cards in a list or grid, with a path bar, sorting and hidden files
• Two panes, side by side, to copy or move between folders (Pro)
• Copy, move, zip and extract in the background, even with the screen off, with progress in a notification
• Folders update on their own as files arrive
• Recycle bin with restore
• Built-in viewers for images, text, PDFs, audio, video and archives

Photos and audio
• Photos grouped by day, pinch to change the size, and details like camera settings and where a photo was taken
• Audio keeps playing in the background, with controls on the lock screen and in the notification

Find and free up space
• Search by name, then narrow by type, size, date and storage
• A storage map shows which folders take up the most space (Pro)
• Clean up finds APKs you've already installed, old screenshots and downloads, empty folders and duplicate files (removing duplicates is Pro)

Share over Wi-Fi (Pro)
Open your files in a web browser on another device on the same network: scan the QR code or type the address. Share all your storage, one folder, or a folder that only takes uploads. Only devices with the link can connect, and it stops when you turn it off.

App manager
Back up APKs (Pro), open apps, see their system info, or uninstall them.

Droidfiles Pro
Two panes, Share over Wi-Fi, removing duplicates, the storage map and APK backup come with Droidfiles Pro, a yearly subscription through Google Play. Cancel anytime in Google Play. Browsing, previews, the viewers and player, copying, moving and zipping, search, Clean up and the recycle bin stay free.

Private by design
Droidfiles doesn't collect any data. No accounts, no ads, no analytics. Your files stay on your phone unless you share them.

Permissions
• All files access: Droidfiles is a file manager, so it needs to see and manage every file.
• Installed apps, and installing and removing apps: for the app manager, and to tell which APK files you already have.
• Notifications: to show the progress of copies and moves running in the background.
• Local network: only for Share over Wi-Fi.
