Drum 3: Drum Kit & Drum Pads

Drum 3 puts a real drum kit on your screen. Photographed drums and cymbals, seen from above like an overhead camera on a stage, fill the whole display. Every hit sounds the way a drummer expects: full power in the centre of a head, a soft touch near the edge, a sharp crack on the rim.

Play like a real drummer
- Multi-touch: play hands and feet together with as many fingers as you like
- Velocity by where you hit: the centre is loud, the edge is soft, perfect for ghost notes
- Rimshots on the snare, the bell of the ride, open and closed hi-hat
- Hold any cymbal to choke it, just like grabbing it with your hand
- Pedal pads for the kick and hi-hat, double kick on the metal kit
- A low-latency audio engine for tight, responsive drumming

33 drum kits
- Acoustic: Studio Maple, Arena Rock, Iron Thunder with double kick, Midnight Jazz, Velvet Brushes, Vintage 60s, Funk 70s, Pop Session and Garage Room
- World and orchestral: Anatolian Percussion, Latin Fiesta, African World and Symphony Hall with timpani and gong
- Electronic drum machines: 808, 909, 707, Retro 80s, Trap, Lo-fi, Techno and Synthwave
- 12 beat-maker kits: Boom Bap, DnB, Reggaeton, Phonk, Afrobeats, K-Pop, Jersey Bounce and more

Drum pads
Switch any kit to a glowing pad grid and finger drum your own beats. Drag pads to rearrange them.

Play along with beats and songs
- 256 beats and 50 full songs: rock, pop, funk, jazz, metal, Latin, hip-hop, electronic and more
- Change the tempo, add a count-in, mute any part and play it yourself

Drum Shows
- 80 drum solos to watch, played by animated realistic sticks on the kit
- Or step on stage and perform them yourself, tap by tap, while the crowd follows your timing

Learn to play drums
- A Learn journey with 12 units and 95 short lessons, from your very first beat
- Wait mode: the music waits until you hit the right piece
- Speed builder: a clean loop speeds up, a rough one slows down
- Timing feedback on every hit, early or late, to the millisecond
- Rudiments with sticking, a daily practice and streaks to keep you going

Metronome, recorder and mixer
- Metronome with tap tempo, time signatures, subdivisions, accents and several click sounds
- Record your drumming and export it as WAV audio or MIDI
- Mixer with a fader for every piece, plus room sound from dry studio to arena

Make the kit yours
- Edit the kit layout: move, resize or hide any piece
- Left-handed mode mirrors the whole kit
- Made for landscape on phones and tablets
