Description

Working memory is the mental workspace behind focus, reasoning, and learning. Dual N-Back is a focused trainer built around the n-back protocol from Jaeggi et al. (2008, PNAS) — now with Single, Dual, Triple, and Quad training modes.

Track visual positions and audio letters simultaneously. When the current stimulus matches what appeared N steps back, respond. Simple to learn, challenging to master.

ADAPTIVE N.DD SYSTEM
The N.DD system delivers fine-grained difficulty progression through micro levels like 2.45 or 3.78. Seven parameters adjust together (pace, timing, lures, and more) to keep each session in your optimal challenge zone.

SINGLE N-BACK MODES
Practice one modality at a time — Position, Audio, Color, or Shape. Easier to learn, useful for warming up or strengthening a weaker channel.

TRIPLE AND QUAD N-BACK
Add a third or fourth modality (color, shape) alongside position and audio for the harder variants serious practitioners seek.

D'-PRIME MEASUREMENT
Track performance with the sensitivity index used in cognitive research. Raw accuracy is misleading — 90% could mean excellent play or lucky guessing. D'-prime separates real signal from noise.

WORKING MEMORY ASSESSMENT
Monthly Counting Span Tests measure your working memory capacity independent of n-back skill. The same validated methodology used in research labs, built right into the app.

SESSION REPLAY
Step through the full trial sequence of any session to see exactly where errors occurred and review your approach.

SESSION NOTES
