What is working memory: Working memory facilitates the process of temporary storage and manipulation of the information necessary for most higher level cognitive tasks, such as learning, reasoning, and comprehension
What is N-Back: The n-back task is a continuous performance task that is commonly used as an assessment in psychology and cognitive neuroscience to measure a part of working memory and working memory capacity. N-Back games are training method to improve working memory and working memory capacity and also increase fluid intelligence.
Scientific research: There a many studies about Dual N-back. in 2008 research paper claimed that practicing a dual n-back task can increase fluid intelligence (Gf), as measured in several different standard tests(Jaeggi S.; Buschkuehl M.; Jonides J.; Perrig W.;). The 2008 study was replicated in 2010 with results indicating that practicing single n-back may be almost equal to dual n-back in increasing the score on tests measuring Gf (fluid intelligence). The single n-back test used was the visual test, leaving out the audio test. In 2011, the same authors showed long-lasting transfer effect in some conditions.
The question of whether n-back training produces real-world improvements to working memory still remains controversial. But many people report clear positive improvements.

Pretty good with a decent level of polish. Nice exercise for practicing attention. There's a lot of different modes/categories you can configure to your liking. If you want to try memorizing spoken letters in one ear and bird calls in the other while solving NAND logic grids alongside math problems while trying to remember patterns on wings of butterflies... you can! (enjoy the aneurysm) I do wish there was a setting to adjust what percentage of items are repeats. Overall it's good though.

Good but can you remove the vignette effect from the position training? It's so distracting, also for quad n back can you make the whole layout squared and in the center? The current layout are so far from each other it's hard to keep in track

Really good. I like that the test ends when you have reached the set number of wins, and not after a set number of rounds as is usually the case. Also, touching the exact location instead of a "location match" button is a plus. The only downsides I see so far are that the sound button looks like an "8" (confusing at first but can be ignored) and that there is a kind of permanent full screen mode which is kind of annoying for me, since I use the navbar and not touch nav. Other than that, very cool

Glitchy. Can't even open it. It starts with a screen where I have no idea what to do. Tried clicking on several things to see if I could find some instructions. Nope.
