Watch. Understand. Continue. • Read the original subtitles and an optional translation together • Keep subtitles or translations visible, blurred or hidden • Long-press any word for its contextual meaning and pronunciation • Save useful words to your personal review deck
Control every phrase • Auto-pause at the end of each subtitle when you want focused practice • Repeat the current phrase or move to the previous and next subtitle • Open the transcript and adjust subtitle length for easier reading
Your content, your way • Search YouTube and discover videos inside DualSub • Optionally connect Google to see channels you already follow • Play compatible local files and video links shared from other apps • Choose available audio and subtitle tracks, then add a translation
Build a learning habit Review saved vocabulary, follow beta listening paths by level, and use optional exam-style listening practice when it suits your goal.
Guided listening is available in beta for English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. Coverage varies by language and level. More subtitle and translation languages are available in the player.
Good to know YouTube playback and captions depend on each publisher and on YouTube availability. Some videos cannot be played or subtitled inside the app. Google Sign-In is optional. DualSub is independent and is not affiliated with YouTube or content publishers.

Video and subtitle files stored locally in the phone's memory are not supported.

The app looks good, but the subtitles are not synced to the videos at all. It's off by a few seconds. Enough to make it not useable. Which sucks because this app is exactly what I was looking for.
