Description

Simple DVA calculator to calculate the estimation of DVA range of frequency. DVA is a method uses in mechanical to absorb and release vibration from machine or piping due to resonance problem. It is by introducing another structure which can be tuned to the match the resonance frequency.

User can specify beam length, width and height, and also weight and material used for the beam to determine range of frequency that can be countered by the DVA. User can play with the graphic by moving the weight image by sliding to left and right to see the changes of the frequency. The range of frequency calculated with this calculator may differ a little bit from actual design.

How to use:
1. Specify type of material to be used as a beam.
2. Enter the weight of the block in Kg to act as the frequency tuner.
3. Enter the width of the block in cm.
4. Enter the length of the beam in cm.
5. Enter the width of the beam in cm.
6. Enter the height of the beam in cm.
7. Play with the settings above to get the suitable design for the DVA to match the actual resonance problem.
8. Move the weight picture by sliding to left and right to visualize natural frequency of the structure.

Abbreviation:
MinNFH = Minimum Natural Frequency Horizontal
MinNFV = Minimum Natural Frequency Vertical
MaxNFH = Maximum Natural Frequency Horizontal
MaxNFV = Maximum Natural Frequency Vertical
