Ease allows patients to invite family members and loved ones to receive text, photo and video updates on their status throughout the hospital experience in a safe and secure app. A HIPAA compliant communication app, Ease is designed to improve patient satisfaction and increase transparency with updates used to educate and inform families on the patient’s status. Family members and loved ones will be able to view all Ease updates for 60 seconds of screen time before it disappears, and all content is never stored on a device. Improving patient satisfaction, communication and reducing anxiety has never been easier. Ease is freedom from the waiting room.
The Ease App uses 5G, 4G, LTE or WiFi connections (when available). Within the app, patients are able to add the family and friends they want to keep informed and relaxed throughout their medical procedure or hospital stay.
Encrypted texts, photos and videos are sent at the direction of the patient’s medical team. In order to receive Ease updates, your medical provider must be signed up for the Ease program.

This is a very nice app for nervous Nelly's like myself. It was life changing when my husband had heart surgery. I would have quite literally chewed my fingernails off (and I have acrylic nails!) if I had to wait six to find out if my loved one was okay. I was able to go out of the hospital and enjoy some shopping while the doctor updated me as every step of the surgery progressed. I didn't even have to "copy, paste" the info on to family, as they were ALSO getting the updates through the app!

I've had this app for a month while my baby is in the NICU and the hospital suggested this app because they use it to take photos of my baby while I'm at home. I screenshot almost every photo. For a week now I have not been able to save photos of MY BABY that the hospital sends me when I'm home. I don't know if was an update or something but I'm NOT happy about it, and I know other moms here in the NICU with are upset as well.

Never got one message. When I downloaded and followed instructions the nurses ran around trying to find a device to scan a code. I thought they did it but who knows. I would bet human error is why it didn't work for me. The concept is good.

CHKD suggested that we use it to get updates. But we never received one. May not have been the apps fault. Might not have been CHKD fault I don't know.otherwise it seemed smooth to get patient registered. And add someone else to notified was smooth also. But we never received beside the Hello from the initial start

It never worked. All my updates were phone calls from the hospital or the doctor comming out to tell me they are done with the surgery.
