🎙️ Summary & Transcription
Record audio, share voice messages, paste text, or send URLs. Transcribe with GPT Transcribe, Gemini 3.5, Grok, Scribe v2, or Local AI Whisper. Claude handles summaries and translation. Audio summaries use headings.

⚡ Realtime Speech
OpenAI Realtime provides live speech-to-text or translation. ElevenLabs switches between Scribe v2 file STT and Scribe v2 Realtime. Text appears as it arrives.

💻 Desktop & Chrome
The Linux/GNOME companion adds push-to-talk dictation and clipboard paste. Web Summary is the Chrome extension.

🧠 Local AI
Use your own Ollama-compatible /api/chat endpoint for summaries and translations, plus an OpenAI-compatible Whisper endpoint for speech-to-text. Linux setup suggests models from CPU, RAM and GPU specs; optional CanIRun.ai suggestions show the hardware values sent first. Use trusted LAN or VPN endpoints.

📱 Android Keyboard & Dictation
Enable EchoScribe as a system keyboard (QWERTY English or QWERTZ Deutsch) with an AI toolbar to rewrite, restyle, translate, and reply from the clipboard. Typing stays on-device. EchoScribe Voice Mode can transcribe with OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, Local AI, or ElevenLabs Scribe v2.

A floating Android dictation button works in editable fields. Choose transcription and optional AI text processing separately, use your Dictation Prompt to shape the result, or turn processing off for a faster raw transcript. Tap the mic to record, then approve the preview before insertion. Android Accessibility detects fields, shows the button and inserts approved text. Password, PIN, payment, banking, card and phone fields are blocked.

🔒 Privacy & Security
• No data is sent to EchoScribe servers because there are none.
• Before sending content to a selected AI provider or Local AI endpoint, EchoScribe asks for permission and identifies the recipient, data, and purpose. You can review saved permission and withdraw it in Settings.
• AI requests go directly from your device to the provider or Local AI endpoint you select.
• API keys are stored encrypted with Android Keystore.
• You control costs and limits in your provider dashboard.
• You are responsible for your own API keys, endpoints and usage costs.

🎨 AI Image Generation
Create images from prompts in the Bubble Dock. Supports OpenAI, Gemini and Grok image models (Grok Pro: Imagine Image 2.0), with direct sharing and saving.

🔊 Audio, TTS & Summaries
Record, transcribe, summarize, translate, copy, share, or listen with TTS. Play reads transcripts or summaries with your selected speech provider. Share text, generated speech or images. History stays on device.
