Been using Mobile Tech since its release. Initially there were strong errors but the ECI developers were prompt to resolve the issues and continue to provide new features. From my mgmt view, our own IT support and especially the Technicians using it, we find this to be a solid, stable tool and more beneficial than other choices for supporting Technician activity, it walks all users through every needed entry with ease. We have now used it problem-free for several years. Highly recommend this app.

Working with ECI tests your patience, especially in IT service delivery. Despite repeated tickets for mobile tech update alerts, the first notice I received was for a new version launching at 7pm on 2/29/24. Promptly, I updated our on-prem servers on 3/1/24. Yet, our techs are now stuck, prompted for an update that ECI failed to release in the app store. This oversight exemplifies why steering clear of the monopolistic ECI is wise—they hinder more than help.

This does not work as they promote. Constant server time-outs and lock-ups. This causes the phone to run slow and battery to drain. Remote tech much better

I've only used this app for 3 days, this is what I've seen -Purple text on black/white screen clashes and causes calls to blur together. - if you move faster than the system syncs, it causes errors and data loss. -intelligent call sorting doesn't exist. All calls are jumbled together. -machine history only shows abridged information. You cant view the ticket either. -can't see call types on history. Cant determine when the machine last had an actual issue as opposed to a simple courtesy call, etc

This app is garbage and getting worse by the update. Already a large downgrade from the Remote Tech website interface, they recently added a 255-character limit to technician remarks on calls. Why would they do that? There are a thousand good reasons why those work remarks need to be as detailed at possible. There is no reason to limit remarks to such a paltry allowance. For users familiar with the Remote Tech interface, every part of this app is a disappointing step back.
