Description
Cosmic Galaxy Match is a premium match-3 puzzle game set in a deep-space, galaxy and cosmic-gem theme. Players swap adjacent tiles on an 8×8 board to form rows or columns of three or more identical cosmic symbols—planets, moons, star clusters, comets, galaxies, cosmic crystals, ringed planets, and nebula sparks. The goal is to reach level-specific score targets or collection goals within a limited number of moves, with early levels designed to be easy and later levels requiring larger matches (4+ or 5+ in a row) and strategic play. The game features a maximum of 15 handcrafted levels, sequential unlocking, and a victory screen with exactly two actions: Level Select and Next Level.
The visual style is a premium cosmic aesthetic: a deep space gradient background (dark blue and purple) with subtle stars, rounded tiles with soft glow and centered cosmic imagery. Only two animations are used—a clear selection highlight on the chosen tile and a smooth 300 ms swap animation between two adjacent tiles—while all other updates (matches removed, tiles dropping, new tiles spawning, reshuffles) are instant. There are no falling, fade, scale, or transition animations and no animated dialogs or screen transitions, keeping the experience snappy and clear.
Core gameplay is built on strict board logic: after every move, the board must have at least two different valid match possibilities. A match-detection algorithm finds all horizontal and vertical lines of three or more; a possible-move detector counts available swaps that would create a match. If after refilling the board there are fewer than two possible moves, the board is instantly reshuffled (with no animation) so that it never becomes stuck. The engine supports 3-in-a-row, 4-in-a-row, 5+, long chains, and multiple matches in a single move, with no auto-completing matches on reshuffle.
The game includes a welcome screen (first launch only), a home screen with Play, Level Select, Achievements, and Settings, a level-select grid for all 15 levels with locked and completed states and star ratings, and a fullscreen victory dialog titled “Galaxy Stabilized” showing level number, final score, moves used, and star rating (1–3) with only the two buttons described above. A failure screen titled “Mission Failed” offers Retry and Level Select. Achievements (20+), sound and theme settings (Deep Space, Purple Nebula, Solar Storm), and all progress are persisted locally with Hive.
The project follows clean architecture with logic separated from UI, uses Riverpod for state management, and is production-ready with no placeholders—fully runnable, in English only, with package name com.cosmicjewels.galaxymatch. It is suitable for store listings, AI-assisted design or localization, and as a reference specification for a complete match-3 puzzle game.
