Description
With this application and a ELM327 OBD reader, you can quickly and easily perform the EOBD test carried out on the periodical inspection lines since 2018 (depends on local regulations).
The application will show you if the vehicle passes this test, and if not, the reasons and / or faults codes present in the control unit that cause an unfavorable result.
In addition to the EOBD test, the application includes functions such as:
- Read / Clear OBD system errors.
- Visualization / record of real data from the OBD system.
- Measurement of vehicle acceleration.
- Possible locations of the OBD connector.
- Sending errors to the developer.
The EOBD (European On Board Diagnostic) control test is carried out on vehicles certified Euro 5 onwards (September 2009 onwards). If the vehicle complies with this approval, periodical inspection technicians will connect an OBD electronic reader to verify certain data extracted from the control units affected by the OBD standard (engine and gearbox systems).
With the help of ITV Test you will be able to know these data in a clear and simple way, you will know in advance if the vehicle passes the test and you will avoid traveling to the ITV on multiple occasions.
If the ITV Test is unfavorable, you will be able to anticipate the repair of the vehicle in your trusted workshop and will allow you to go to the ITV with greater security.
To start using ITV Test you only need a ELM327 OBD configured in your phone and in ITV Test. Click on the start button so that the test carried out at the ITV is carried out fully automatically. After the test is finished (+ -10 seconds), you will see the results and have a PDF file with them.
* OBD readers type ELM327 are compatible with passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, they do not support the reading of 24v systems (heavy vehicles).
** Remember that the tests that vehicles are subjected to on the ITV line are very diverse. ITV Test will help you pass the E-OBD electronic test, the rest of the tests are independent of the result you will see in this application.
