Evo start 2 was sold and installed by Toyota. It worked great until the end of 2025. In 2026 the 2 way communication stopped working. I contacted tech support and was told there was no support for Evo start 2 for newer versions of Android and iPhone. Mine started working again and all is good now.

This is by far the best car starter on the market if you live in Ontario or Quebec. The car connects to cell towers, allowing you to start and unlock the car from anywhere you can get an internet connection with your phone. There is NO subscription fee (absolutely blows my mind how they can offer this). When out of Quebec/Ontario or unable to use your phone, the RF remote can still start and unlock your car from over a kilometer away. Overall, this is a great value.

When it works it's great. Was great to get into a warm car at the railway station after work. However, sometimes even at home I can't get it to start. Would be great if you could do temperature control and seat heater as well.

It was working fine, after update cannot use app. User ID and password doesn't work Authentication failed Now I can't use my app to start car

The app won't work...I reinstalled it, and now it's just a white blank screen. When it does "work" it says I don't have a car registered (I do) or if the car does appear, it'll say "service not found". It works on my husbands phone though
