Excel Save Demo

Excel Save Demo shows how a field worker records what was read: run an RFID inventory, tap Save, and the tag list is written to an Excel (.xls) file together with the user's name, the reader's name and when each tag was seen. The save dialog is already filled in, so saving is usually one tap.

IMPORTANT: Works with the AIRSTANDARD Air73 Bluetooth UHF RFID reader. The Air73 has no screen of its own; this app runs on your Android phone (Android 8.0 or later with Bluetooth) and controls it over classic Bluetooth (SPP). Without an AIRSTANDARD reader the app opens but cannot read tags. On AIRSTANDARD handhelds with a built-in reader (Air82), the same app uses that reader directly and skips the connection screen.

Connecting
1. Turn on the Air73 (unplug the USB data cable; Bluetooth is disabled while it is connected).
2. Open the app, allow Nearby devices and tap Search, or pick a reader from the previously connected list.
3. Confirm the connection. The app opens the tag list directly.

Reading and saving
- Start and stop with the on-screen button or the Air73 trigger. Unique tags, total reads, elapsed time and read speed update live.
- Save opens a dialog with file name (date and time), user and device name. The user name is remembered; the device name comes from the connected reader unless you change it.
- The .xls file includes the user, device name and save time, and for each tag its EPC, first and last read times, read count and RSSI. You choose where to save it with the system file picker.
- RF power, sorting and filter options, selection mask, tag trace and clear.
- Available in English, Korean, Japanese and Simplified Chinese.

What this app does not do
It does not compare against a prepared list and does not read, write or lock tag memory. List checking and memory operations are covered by other AIRSTANDARD demo apps, each published separately.

Permissions and privacy
- Nearby devices (Android 12 and later): to search for and connect to the Air73. Declared as not used to derive location.
- Location (Android 11 and earlier only): those Android versions require it for Bluetooth device search. The app never reads your location.
- Wi-Fi state: read by the reader connection library while preparing the device search; no Wi-Fi connection is made.
- Vibration and wake lock: feedback and keeping the device awake during work.
The app has no internet permission and does not collect or transmit any data. The user name (and a device name, only if you changed it) is kept on your phone to pre-fill the next save. Files are saved only where you choose through the system file picker.
