Description
The ExtremeCloud IQ Companion app provides onboarding and monitoring of networking devices from your smartphone. The app was designed to securely support both IT administrators and installers.
You can use this app to quickly onboard, monitor and troubleshoot access points, switches and routers. ExtremeCloud IQ Companion app supports the following features:
• Launch ExtremeCloud IQ Companion app with proper admin or installer roles • Onboard Access Point (AP), Switches and Routers by scanning the device barcode or QR code. Or manually enter the serial number of the networking device • Assign device to location and floorplans • Assign device network configuration policy and device templates • Verify cloud connection and status of the device • Ability to remove, add or update a device • Ability to change “Persona” across our Universal Hardware portfolio • Remotely reboot a device • Locate an AP by flashing the LED light. • Securely troubleshoot an AP using CLI commands (Pilot subscription required)

This app is it very useful tool for managing my extreme networks gear that is in the cloud. This isn't just a "me too" app. I can set different roles for my admins versus my installers. My admin types can pull it out on the fly when they didn't bring their laptop and have a very useful tool. My installers can use it to assign location and network policy and even take a picture of where they installed it.

Device management is nice but the lack of user management is a bummer. It would be a 5 star if I could add guest user accounts from this... Any chance this can happen?

Can't log in get an error "user has been logged out due to inactivity"

As an admin, I have access to all locations, but the app doesn't allow me to access to filter or onboard using them. States that I need permission, but I'm a global administrator, so this is laughable. No breadcrumbs in the app, going "back" to any screen is a chore, and leave the app for a second forces you to log back in. Not nice.

Puts buttons below the back qnd home buttons making it impossible to fully onboard devices not sure how to even report bugs in this app.

Not small business friendly. App is unusable for basic Connect level account. I have 3 AP for small business, and I don't need an enterprise account. I love my APs... just not that this app is locked behind enterprise accounts.
