Family Function Budget & Gifts

Every rupee out. Every gift in.

Function Budget is an offline ledger for the money around an Indian family
function — a wedding, griha pravesh, 60th birthday, naming ceremony or any of
the fifteen occasions it understands.

Unlike a wedding budget app, it tracks BOTH directions. Money goes out to
vendors. Money comes back as gifts from guests and contributions from family.
Only when you subtract the second from the first do you know what the function
actually cost you.

YOUR REAL COST
- Expenses out, gifts in, contributions in — netted into one number
- Cost per guest, calculated as you go
- Budget by category, with alerts as you approach the limit

THE GIFT REGISTER
- Replaces the paper notebook kept at the reception desk
- Record moi, shagun or nadai by name, place, side and envelope number
- Cash, UPI, cheque, gold, silver or a named gift item
- Desk Mode for fast entry while guests are still arriving
- Because guests and gifts are kept across every function, the register becomes
a reciprocity ledger the family consults for decades: what did their family
give us, and what have we given them?

VENDORS AND PAYMENTS
- Quoted amount, advance paid, balance still due
- Due dates per vendor, with a reminder two days before
- Vendor-wise totals across the whole function

INSIGHTS
- Where the money went: spend over time, top vendors, category breakdown
- How gifts arrived: gold, cheque, UPI or cash — and from which side
- Every figure available at a glance, no spreadsheet needed

PRINT AND SHARE
- Gift register as a PDF, in the order gifts arrived
- Function report: what you spent, what came back, what it really cost
- Spreadsheet with every sheet — expenses, gifts both ways, people, vendors

SIX LANGUAGES
English, हिन्दी, ಕನ್ನಡ, മലയാളം, தமிழ், తెలుగు — the whole app, not just the menus.

COMPLETELY OFFLINE
- All data stays on your device in a local database
