Good 👍 but adding child account is always a mess and often 'soft locks' certain accounts from being added again 🙃

★★★★★ Starsqueak Empress · Feb 26, 2026

- this damn thing is ok to use for children but not for teenagers, and I have fallen victim to this app. With a strict parent. Strict everything. So no. parents. Keep this app for children under 13, and after 15 you SHOULD remove it. Let the teen breath. Thank you. But good job developers/creators of this app, it does keep children safe and parents alert.

There could be some other options like "blocking specifically shorts from YouTube" or "blocking some specific channels"

Wow, I cannot express the hate I have for this app, it is genuinely a weapon to brick your phone, at least allow us to use system apps, if you buy your child a phone with a camera and get this app, just get a Nokia

I have reviewed the parental controls and family link app and I can't be doing ts every time. If you don't trust your kid to have a phone with as much freedom as you, don't get it a phone, or get it a nokia style button phone.

I hate this app I really wish I could give it a zero. Parents, if you want to download this app for your kids, don't, unless you want your kids to hate you. This literally limits your freedom and I can't even pick up calls now?? I am only 13, but I honestly think that I have enough self-control and discipline to manage my study time and break time. Coming from someone who gets top 5% in my cohort every year (not a flex it's for the context), I don't think I need this app.
