Description
FlickBoard is a keyboard for Android that doesn't try to correct or predict you. It doesn't have an opinion on the correct spelling or tone. It certainly doesn't use any AI. Because it trusts you to write what you meant to write.
Instead, FlickBoard uses swipes to get away with using vastly fewer (and larger!) buttons than a traditional QWERTY keyboard, helping you build muscle memory, minimize typos, and touch type faster.
Type the letters in the center of a key by tapping it. Type the keys in the corners by swiping in that direction. It's that simple!
FlickBoard is inspired by MessagEase and Thumb-Key. It is also open source, see https://codeberg.org/natkr/flickboard!

I would like to see an auto cap & an apostrophe option. This is a great replacement to the Message Ease board. I do like that developer is genuinely vested into the updates (seemed responsive on Reddit).

Great app, I came from Messages because I didn't like their subscription model (I am willing to pay for a good app but not monthly for one that hasn't been developed for years). An option to share a configured keyboard layout would be great to change phones. Also, an option to long-press on the back-button to repeatedly delete letters would be awesome, it's a little tedious to tap a lot to delete a sentence. A plus would be to be able to add special letters to an already existing layout.

Used to be extremely good for me. But every update this keyboard gets makes its Performance poorer and poorer. As of now, the keyboard has become just plain Aggravating to use since it stutters every 3 or 4 seconds. No other keyboard I have installed has had this issue, it's JUST flick board. The stuttering heavily impacts flicking, as when I make a gesture during a stutter, it ignores the gesture and registers a tap. I really hope this gets fixed in the future.

Good alt to Messages but doesn’t have autocorrect and doesn’t plan to have one.
