How it works Most aircraft today are equipped with ADS-B transponders that transmit positional data. Flightradar24 has a rapidly growing network of over 50,000 ground stations around the world to receive this data that then shows up as aircraft moving on a map in the app. In an expanding number of regions, with the help of multilateration, we’re able to calculate the positions of aircraft that don’t have ADS-B transponders. Coverage in North America is also supplemented by real-time radar data. Coverage is variable and subject to change at any time.

A truly amazing App! I have had it for many years now and cannot do without it. Useful for aircraft enthusiasts and for tracking flights all around the world. Handy when you have to pick up someone at an airport and see where that particular flight is at any point. Brilliant!

The ads are extreme. I'd rather use the browser version. Edit: in response to the dev - ads are understandable. The ones in flight radar literally prevent me from backing out of the app on my phone. These are very disruptive. It made me uninstall the app as opposed to consider paying.

Bombarded with ads. You literally can not look for an aircraft without ads opening ads which in turn open more ads. Awful, find a different App.

App is fine, but the subscription model sucks! It was not supposed to pull money off my account as I planned on canceling my subscription. Now it still pulled money off, so I canceled it, but I did not get my money back. Sneaky money grabbing bastards.

Used to be good but is now junk! Like someone else mentioned....way too many intrusive annoying ads that take over the screen and can't be dismissed! Congratulations to the developer for alienating potential customers with such a bonehead design! P.S. PAY ATTENTION to what MANY reviewers are saying about the overly intrusive ads that hijack the phone. You are alienating potential customers.
