FlowRow Irrigation Desk

FlowRow Irrigation Desk is an offline-first drip-irrigation scheduling and hydraulics workbench for market gardeners, community-plot holders, greenhouse growers, homesteaders with a few raised rows and small-farm hands who run a pump, a filter and a handful of drip zones.

It is not a generic reminder app. It behaves like a real irrigation control desk, and it ships with a complete seeded demo farm so you can explore every panel on first launch.

ZONE DESIGNER
Store area, row count and spacing, soil type (sand, loam, clay), slope, sun exposure, emitter type (inline drip, dripper, micro-sprinkler) and emitters per plant for each zone. Zone flow and wetted area update instantly as you type.

RUN-TIME SOLVER
Get the minutes per cycle needed to deliver a target application depth in millimetres, solved from crop coefficient, soil infiltration rate, emitter flow and zone efficiency. Every result comes with an explicit formula breakdown, so you can audit each number instead of trusting a black box.

SCHEDULE BUILDER
Set multiple start times per zone, day-of-week patterns, cycle-and-soak splits and a seasonal adjust from 40% to 130%. A conflict detector blocks two high-flow zones from starting together.

HYDRAULICS PANEL
Watch your source flow budget and simultaneous-zone demand meter, plus a pipe friction-loss estimate by diameter and length, valve sizing hints and a velocity warning above a safe threshold. A clear pass / warn / fail status card tells you whether a start time is safe before you commit it, so you stop guessing why the last row in a zone always runs dry.

WATER BUDGET & COST
Weekly, monthly and seasonal litres, your own tariff entry, cost projection, a savings comparison against a sprinkler baseline, and a drought-mode preset that trims every zone by a chosen percentage.

RAIN SKIP & WEATHER ENTRY
Log rainfall manually in millimetres, apply automatic rain-delay days, reset soil moisture after heavy rain and track a dry-spell counter that nudges the schedule back up.

UPKEEP BOARD
Filter flush intervals, flush-valve schedule, emitter inspection rotation, pressure-check reminder and a seasonal winterization checklist with per-item completion and a reset-next-season action.

CROP & SOIL LIBRARY
Locally stored reference tables of crop coefficients, rooting depths, soil infiltration rates, emitter discharge charts and drip-system rules of thumb. Each entry names its source basis, so the content is verifiable rather than filler.

TROUBLESHOOTING ASSISTANT
A decision tree that walks from symptom — dry spots, low pressure, clogging, algae, uneven rows — to ranked causes with field checks and fixes. Fully usable with no connection.

WIDGET & REMINDERS
A resizable home widget shows the next watering window and per-zone status. Local notifications respect your quiet hours and need no account.

BACKUP & PORTABILITY
Export and import your whole farm as JSON. Clone the seeded demo farm into a personal farm in one tap, and attach a photo to any zone from your library without a permission prompt.

OFFLINE BY DESIGN
Everything lives in a local on-device database. No account, no sign-in, no network calls, no ads and no billing. Your farm data stays on your phone.

WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
FlowRow Irrigation Desk does not control valves or pumps remotely, does not replace a pressure gauge or a soil-moisture probe, and does not give agronomic advice for crops outside the built-in reference library. It is a scheduling and hydraulics calculator that keeps you in charge.
