The app is not perfect but it works well. This is more a review of Forest bikes as a service in general. I think they are superior to Lime in most ways: • Bikes are considerably cleaner than Limes • Bikes are better maintained and less faulty than Limes • Ride is smoother • Bike feels more premium and comfortable • Acceleration is less lurch (and therefore safer at lower speeds and not hitting pedestrians) than Limes • Forest are a London company, not a Californian tech firm! 🇬🇧

I don't think I've come across a company that cares less about their customer experience than forest. App - slow and glitchy as hell. Tells you've rented a bike when you haven't, and takes several minutes to anything at any point Customer service - non-existent. Their phone line hasn't worked in the months that I've been trailing them, and they don't respond to emails Bike quality - seriously poor. 8/10 rides there's an issue with the bike. Says 30 mins for £1 on the bike and not clearly labelled as a promo. Paid £6.51 for an 18-minute ride after the aforementioned "promo" ran out. Between 29 and 33p a minute thereafter. Plus an unlocking fee. For £2 more I could've got a cab. Contacted them and got it reduced to £1. I'd say they get that a lot. Just Google 'Is Forest bikes a scam?' and have a read. Best to avoid. Stick to Lime Bikes! At least they're transparent with their pricing.
