It's a Great and suitable experience for cycling it's almost incredible that any City would allow for anyone to use bicycles as a mass transit system for transportation on such a vast amount of ample application system wide it's definitely a worthwhile experience, but I think there has to be more safety implications and the state should apply better safety protocols and enforce a greater standardization for commuter acceptance reliance adaptability for commuter mass transit it's not safe!

Excellent way to get around the city! So far there was at least 2 - 3 bikes available for riding at all the bike stands that I have been too. I recommend Bay Wheels to tourist as well as residents of SF, it's a win-win situation; both for the environment and the riders...

I enjoy this service mostly for pedal bikes (which are greatly outnumbered by ebikes now). The pedal bikes are often usable but pretty worn with chain skips or ground gears creating a wobbly ride with little power output - check the chain and saddle before riding. Some of this could be prevented by investing in lower maintenance design (internal gear hub, belt drive, Dutch style safety features). The ebikes are quite good but also priced above what I'm happy with.

The app and service are fine overall, pricey, but the convenience is what it is. 4 stars there. That being said, outside of downtown, bike availability is ABYSMAL, and what bikes are left after about 8:30am are usually the ones that people skipped over for having poor battery, bad brakes, a damaged seat, or any of these other reasons. If Lyft/Bay Wheels can really demonstrate ACTIVE replenishing of bikes in the Western half of the city, I would happily give a high rating, but as it is, 1 star

This is the worst electric bike service I have ever experience in my entire life. They do not even deserve one star. I bought the day pass today which was advertised as a FULL DAY pass. I was then charged 37 dollars on my bike ride. Odd, I thought, but maybe it is user error. I purchased the day pass AGAIN and picked up a different bike and was them charged over 63 dollars. After picking up another bike I was charged over 100 dollars for 1 day. This is absolutely ridiculous and frankly scamming.
