Forward and Backup SMS automatically forwards incoming SMS messages to Email, Telegram, or your secure cloud account for real-time access across all your devices.
The app uses a foreground service to ensure reliable, instant SMS forwarding. This foreground service runs only when SMS forwarding is enabled by the user and displays a persistent notification indicating that SMS forwarding is active.
Why foreground service is required:
The foreground service ensures that incoming SMS messages are processed and forwarded immediately, even when the app is not open. Without the foreground service, Android may stop or delay message processing, causing missed or delayed forwarding.
The foreground service:
Is started only after the user enables SMS forwarding in app settings
Shows a visible notification while active
Can be stopped anytime by the user from the app or notification
Runs only while forwarding is enabled
Is essential to provide reliable real-time SMS forwarding

Does what I need which is the cloud share. I don't want it to send emails, so I haven't tested that. I saw in other reviews that emails are lowish, but the cloud thing is near instant. The cloud page is very simple, so it doesn't appear to drain airtime. A lot of ads, but that's OK. My only beef is that the filter only does number. Facebook SMSs, for example, is never shown as from a number. On the app page where you can add number filters, it says there are more filter options on the cloud - but I can't find them. Maybe that is a "To Do"? |For now, it is easy to delete onse I don't want on the cloud. It is Russian, which means it may get blocked (hope not), but I commend it for being straight forward. I cannot stand time wasters like "Automatically forward SMS to your PC/phone" (red icon with green arrow) which stops working after a month and demands money if you use a filter.

The app works as advertised. There is a considerable time lag between it sending and receiving but that is likely a network of email provider. A privacy disclaimer would be useful.

See below where it says if you disable cloud, sms to email will also be disabled? This means that this is false advertising and is grounds for a Class-Action Lawsuit. And at the least it still means it's GARBAGE !!!!!!! ------------------------------------- Q; Remove page? Are you really want to delete your cloud page and all SMS on it? SMS transfer to email will be disabled! NO YES

Worked OK at first, then it said it had forwarded 18 messages, but none of them reached the email inbox. So will need to find a different app to achieve this in the future.
