It's cute, and it had little lessons about life while you also track your mood and emotions and the reasons why you have those emotions. I find myself writing about my emotions and what I need to overcome, and it helps when you have your past problems written down in an appealing way and organized way. And you can also dress and costumes your little fox friend and his room with is soo cute. I'm using it for free, and it's pretty good overall, I don't really have anything bad to say.

The cozy core self-care app I never knew I needed! I've usually hated journaling but truly love the way prompts are posed. The options for selecting feelings is brilliant. I had a much brighter and overstimulated experience on Finch. Really glad this exists. I use TeuxDeux now for my tasks. That leaves room for Fox tale's lessons to really shine for me. The music, the muted colors, and the lack of focus on getting points is great for me. A surprising little find on Reddit I'm grateful for!

It has nice tools for helping to deal with emotions, a lot of techniques scientifically proven to be effective. There is a plus subscription to it and there are a lot of features that should not be under paywall or that just feels greedy. Like monthly emotion analytics or changing colors of emotions. Most things can only be bought with plus, never appearing on the "free section of the store. They also used AI for some images and apparently icons, so I am not compelled to pay for Plus at all.

Started off cute, then they hit you with a subscription prompt after you're a bit emotionally invested. Definitely not predatory, "definitely".

it's a cute, charming app for sure but if I'd known about the AI placeholders earlier or the promoted ADs that just talk about how terrible finch is from a dev, I would not have let my free trial lapse. I won't be recommending this app to other people and im extremely disappointed in the lack of professionalism and the use of AI in any part of development.
