Framecast: Digital Photo Frame

Turn an old tablet or phone into an always-on digital photo frame. Framecast plays your family pictures as a full-screen slideshow with a clock, so the tablet sitting in a drawer becomes something everyone looks at every day.

No ads. No account. No subscription.

FREE, WITH NO TIME LIMIT

• Any folder or album on your device or SD card
• Crossfade and Ken Burns transitions
• Clock, date and battery on screen, in any corner you like
• Fair shuffle: every picture shows once before anything repeats
• Fill, fit or blurred-background framing, so portrait shots never get black bars
• Keeps the screen awake for as long as the slideshow runs
• Works as your Android screensaver, so the frame starts by itself when the tablet is docked or charging

The free version shows a small Framecast logo in the corner.

FRAMECAST PRO: ONE PAYMENT, EVERY DEVICE

Try every Pro feature free for 7 days. After that, Pro is a single purchase, never a subscription, and it covers every tablet and phone on your Google account.

• No logo on your pictures
• Dropbox sync: share one folder with the family and every picture they add appears on the frame by itself
• Daily on/off schedule and night dimming, so it is not glaring at 3am
• Starts by itself when the tablet powers back on after a power outage
• Weather and photo-info widgets, with the date and place each picture was taken
• Relaxing background music
• Side-by-side portrait pairing and four extra transitions

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No login and no server of ours. Your pictures are never uploaded anywhere: Framecast reads the folder you choose and keeps a small cache on the tablet. We only collect anonymous usage statistics and crash reports to improve the app.

GOOD TO KNOW

• Works on Android 9 and newer
• An old tablet, a cheap stand and a charger is all the hardware you need
