FriendLock App Blocker & Focus

FriendLock is the focus app blocker you can't switch off yourself. Lock your phone to focus: Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, games or any app stays behind a friend, partner or parent — they hold the key, so you actually block distractions instead of negotiating with yourself.

Most app lock and screen time apps fail for one reason: you can turn them off. FriendLock puts a real person in the loop. Pick the apps that eat your day, pair with someone you trust, and from then on a blocked app only opens when they approve it or share a 6-digit code.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose the apps to block — social media, games, shopping, video, anything
2. Pair with an accountability partner by QR code or invite link
3. Open a blocked app and FriendLock shows the lock screen instead
4. Ask for an unlock: they approve with one tap, or read you a 6-digit code
5. Access is temporary — the app locks again when the time runs out

HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS
FriendLock is a commitment device, not an unbreakable lock. On a normal Android phone the device owner can still bypass restrictions through system actions such as force-stop, Safe Mode, factory reset or ADB. FriendLock adds accountability and visibility, not absolute device control. It is built for self-restriction between people who opt in together and must never be used for covert monitoring.

SENSITIVE ACCESS IS USED ONLY FOR APP FUNCTIONALITY
- Accessibility Service reads foreground app changes so FriendLock can show the lock screen when an app you chose to block opens. Only for the specific apps and browsers you configure, it also checks which in-app feed or website address is on screen.
- Usage Access reads recent foreground app activity as a fallback detector when Accessibility Service is unavailable.
- Display over other apps lets FriendLock show the lock screen above the blocked app.
- Notifications are used for approval requests, results, tamper alerts and the ongoing protection service notification.
- Camera is used only to scan pairing QR codes.
- Device admin is optional and used only for removal protection.

PRIVACY
No account, email or phone number is needed. FriendLock does not sell user data and does not use app activity for ad targeting. App activity is used only to detect the apps you chose to block and to route unlock requests.
