Pros & Cons

Privacy-first approach with a clear focus on real-life connections (friends-only network).
No ads or follower graphs, reducing noise and algorithmic manipulation.
Lightweight, simple UI with a fast feed and media loading for quick sharing.
Explicit emphasis on privacy and control over profile and notifications.

Lacks broader discovery features and media types (e.g., videos, public profiles) common in larger social apps.
Relies on location and nearby-device permissions, which may raise privacy concerns for some users.
Smaller feature set compared to mainstream social networks, potentially limiting growth via viral features.

Please provide more updates and more features. Might be better to bring back the old version of Friendster where we can add different backgrounds on our profile and more.

★★★★★ Oishe Galbe · Sep 25, 2026

I am happy that Friendster is back. I haven't been using any socked religiously for quite some time now. I only use 1 messaging app but no other platform. I despise its toxicity and noisiness. I'm giving 4 stars for now as I have yet to explore the new app. I understand dev is improving it every day so keep up the good work, and thank u for the nostalgia.

Fix everything.😅 add friends and search not working, there seems to be a problem with logging in. it's creating another account every time you log in. if you get everything to work, it is very nice, specially no adds and no BS post from unsubscribed page.

It's so hard to open my Friendster and can you do something ... I wish you could make it better for all the same app, and I wish you could do before the app launch
