One Tap Controls, Built for One Thumb:
Tap the left side of the screen and your ball drifts left. Tap the right side and it drifts right. That is the entire control scheme of this one tap arcade game, and it is harder than it sounds. Every tap also hops you upward, but the sideways drift never stops. Hold a line too long and you clip a brick. Panic tap and you climb straight into the ceiling.
An Endless Arcade Climb:
No levels, no stages, no finish line. This is an endless game built around a single question: how far can you get before the bricks win? Sliding pipes and drifting blocks scroll past without end, each one leaving a gap just wide enough, if you commit to it early enough. Every gap you thread scores a point, and every run lays its obstacles out differently, so no two climbs play the same.
A Reflex Game That Rewards Nerve:
At heart this is a reaction game and a test of timing. The ball never stops moving sideways, so every tap is a decision about where you will be half a second from now, not where you are. Patience and nerve beat frantic tapping every time, and the players who go furthest are the ones who commit early and trust the gap.
Chase Your High Score:
Your personal best is kept on your device and shown the moment a run ends. Beat it and the game makes sure you notice. There is no level to grind, no energy to wait on and no progress bar to fill. The only thing to beat is the number you set last time.
A Second Chance When You Want One:
Caught out by a gap you should have made? Take a revive and drop straight back in exactly where you fell with your score intact, plus a brief shield while you find your bearings. No run sent back to zero. Prefer a clean slate instead? Retry drops you into a fresh climb in a single tap.
Feel Every Point:
Haptic feedback each time you slip through cleanly, crisp sound effects, and music that lifts when a run begins and settles when it ends. Sound, music and vibration each get their own switch in settings, so this casual arcade game plays the way that suits you.
An Easy Game to Open, a Hard One to Close:
A run lasts exactly as long as you do, which makes Gap Hopper a good time killer for short bursts. One minute in a queue works as well as an hour on the sofa. Played in portrait with one hand, it fits wherever you are.
At a Glance:
- Endless arcade gameplay with no levels and no finish line
- One tap controls: left to go left, right to go right
- Randomly generated obstacles, so every run is different
- Personal high score saved on your device
- Optional revive that keeps your score and adds a short shield
- Instant retry straight back into a new climb
- Separate sound, music and vibration switches
- Single player, portrait, playable with one thumb
- No sign up and no account needed to play
A Few Tips:
- Short taps keep you low and controlled. Long chains of taps send you into the ceiling.
- Commit to a side early. Hesitating in the middle is what ends most runs.
- The gap is usually wider than it looks. Trust it.
Simple to learn, stubborn to master. How far can you hop?
