Description

This is companion app for GAssist.Net - wear apllication bringing Google Assistant to Galaxy Watch and other Tizen Smartwatches.

This app helps you to generate credentials for Google Assistant Service usage, and provides a service for Tizen Watches allowing them to connect to Google Assistant service.

NOTE: This app is not officially supported by Google, this app is not providing any Google Services directly, it is an interface for using Google Cloud Console - Google Assistant API for your personalized projects. This application should be used only for testing your projects based on Google Cloud - Assistant API Service.

To be able to use this application - user has to possess a Google Cloud console Project with Google Assistant API enabled.

★★★★★ This is great! I've just replaced a WearOS watch with a Samsung Active 2 watch and missed having the Google assistant. Now I have it back again! The video tutorial for getting the app authorised and the credentials needs updating though, as my experience was quite a lot different. I got there in the end though and am very happy. I've set it to activate on home button double-press and I can still use Bixby (if I need to) with voice activation.

★★★★★ IVE FOUND A FIX IF THE LISTEN BUTTON IS GRAYED OUT. I kept having to reinstall the app to get it to work, because after a day listen button was grayed out (driving me nuts) . Today I went to the settings on the g.assist app on the watch (swipe left when you open the app) , and click on "auto listen on start" and " auto listen on resume" Now it works when I open the App .... I can speak to it straight away ..... Don't have to press the listen button. Hope this works for you

★★★★★ Works great. Love being able to query Google assistant from my Galaxy Watch. On a Pixel 5 with Android 11, the icon in notification settings looks like a plain white square with rounded corners, which seems like a bug.

★★☆☆☆ I really wanted this to work, but I ended up disappointed that it didn't. I gave two stars because it's a great concept. I followed all the steps, everything worked as it was supposed to. Boom get to the end where you press (Listen) on your watch and it's grayed out. Uninstalled and reinstalled both the phone app and the companion app. Restarted both devices several times. Check different settings but I couldn't get it to work so maybe my watch is not supported Samsung Galaxy S3 Frontier.

★★☆☆☆ authentication doesn't work, I tap "authenticate" and it crashes... I tried 3 times and every time the setup wizard was working, until I tried to authenticate

★★☆☆☆ Set everything up fine but the app just greys out the listen button. Seems to be entirely useless in my experience. For reference, I use a galaxy watch running Tizen 5.5.0.1
