Geotag Photos Pro 2

★★★★★ So close to perfect (I've paid for full). I wish you could add another track, onto an existing trip. I have a trip for birding. Over multiple days I've gone out, and recorded each days track to the same trip (didn't make a new trip, so it writes to the same trip). I made a new trip for driving today. I can't go back to my birding trip and continue recording a new track (I like to see all the tracks on one trip pertaining to what it is I'm doing). I also can't delete erroneous tracks off a trip.

★★★★★ This app is an excellent accessory for photography lovers. It is hassle-free and the PC app works with most JPEG and RAW format files. It saves our precious camera battery life (even if the camera has GPS function) and harnesses the accuracy of mobile phone positioning feature (utilizing both GPS and mobile network positioning). Highly recommended!

★★★★★ I can't overstate how useful Geotag Photos Pro 2 is for me. I travel, and I hike and spend much extra time taking reference shots with my phone (for Geotagging) only to then spend hours copying over the GPS data in Lightroom to pictures taken with my DSLR. Geotag works flawlessly with both Sony RAW formats. It’s a huge time savings when you've got 1,000s of images from weeks of travel, visiting several sights per day. I just load my images onto my PC, open the Geotag GPX file with the PC application and sidecar files magically appear in seconds. Geotag has also allowed me to move completely to Capture One from Lightroom as C1 doesn't allow editing GPS directly, but it uses the sidecar files. Lightroom's users can load the Geotag Photos GPX file into Lightroom directly. Kudos …6 Stars!

★★☆☆☆ Hopeless. I've used this app twice. On the first occasion I walked around the lane where I live taking photos. It tagged every one and the same place as I took the first one. The second occasion was today. I walked round the local town, taking photos for a couple of hours. Must have walked several miles. Yet again, it tagged every photo with the same co-ords as the first one. On both occasions I had logging set to "every 2 minutes" so it wasn't a question of me moving too fast for it to keep up!

★★☆☆☆ The free trial didn't even allow me to record one trip, so I have no idea if it even does what I want

★★☆☆☆ This app just can't make an accurate track. As I walked up a long and straight street, the app had my pictures placed 200 yards on each side. The track was a zigzag pattern. I tried it numerous time. Then it began to stop.working--only recording two to four points. I have tried it on an iPhone and a Google Pixel. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I am tired of trying to get this one to work I can correlate my pictures in many other ways with a more accurate track made by other hiking apps.
