I have an Olympus camera and their app stopped working with the latest updates to Android. I tried this app, and it works flawlessly when I import photos into Lightroom I can immediately geotag them. Incredibly seamless process. When I'm done logging on the phone, it automatically uploads to the cloud, and then I download that file from the cloud to my local computer and use Lightroom to tag the photos

So close to perfect (I've paid for full). I wish you could add another track, onto an existing trip. I have a trip for birding. Over multiple days I've gone out, and recorded each days track to the same trip (didn't make a new trip, so it writes to the same trip). I made a new trip for driving today. I can't go back to my birding trip and continue recording a new track (I like to see all the tracks on one trip pertaining to what it is I'm doing). I also can't delete erroneous tracks off a trip.

I can't overstate how useful Geotag Photos Pro 2 is for me. I travel, and I hike and spend much extra time taking reference shots with my phone (for Geotagging) only to then spend hours copying over the GPS data in Lightroom to pictures taken with my DSLR. Geotag works flawlessly with both Sony RAW formats. It’s a huge time savings when you've got 1,000s of images from weeks of travel, visiting several sights per day. I just load my images onto my PC, open the Geotag GPX file with the PC application and sidecar files magically appear in seconds. Geotag has also allowed me to move completely to Capture One from Lightroom as C1 doesn't allow editing GPS directly, but it uses the sidecar files. Lightroom's users can load the Geotag Photos GPX file into Lightroom directly. Kudos …6 Stars!

Unreliable. Even if I set all the android permission, only 5% or my 2-week trip was geotagged. The app randomly stopped.

Things you might like to know... You need an account to use (even test) You can't use the desktop version on its own GPX files must be from this app to use in desktop app - can't be from another device Cannot manually geotag photos without a trip log from the app. Not sure if you can confirm accuracy of geotag location with desktop app (didn't get that far but doesn't seem to have mapped). Cost is $17.99 (Australian). Only find this out when you attempt to purchase after installing app.

Just taken 75 photos and would only tag 28...and the ones it did tag
weren't even in the correct area.literally hundreds of miles out.and you

Hopeless. I've used this app twice. On the first occasion I walked around the lane where I live taking photos. It tagged every one and the same place as I took the first one. The second occasion was today. I walked round the local town, taking photos for a couple of hours. Must have walked several miles. Yet again, it tagged every photo with the same co-ords as the first one. On both occasions I had logging set to "every 2 minutes" so it wasn't a question of me moving too fast for it to keep up!
