GESEME work towards restoring consumer confidence, businesses and livelihoods, and the Government was looking to kickstart socio-economic activity.
Our concept is simple; we do not believe in aggregating specific jobs/services/trade; instead, offer a platform for location-based matching for service providers/traders at all levels of economic sectors. Nonetheless, hawkers/street vendors’ contribution to economic development is massive in developing countries like India. They operate as an informal sector, but with the right skills, capacity and structure, we can make the most out of them.
This is where GESEME bridges the gap between local vendors and government, making them an integral segment of the economy that helps in poverty alleviation, economic growth, and development.

This project is an initiative under the project titled, ‘Pan India networked institutional support of socio-economic activities in agriculture and construction sectors.’ Here are a few things to note:
We strive to find the best methodology to support hawkers, thellewallas, or street vendors financially.
It is awarded jointly by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) - National Geospatial Program (NGP).
It is in collaboration with the AGNI office of the principal scientific adviser on geospatial analytics for revival and restoring the economic growth.
