As good as the audio tour I spent the last several days at the battlefield in Gettysburg. This app is an excellent tool to get the overview of the battle. The feature I like the best is the field glasses. This allows you to see what you are looking at, and labels it for you. You also have the option of taking a picture of what you are looking at with the labels appearing on the picture. Another great feature is that you can download the database when needed. I recommend this as some carriers have sketchy coverage.

Outstanding companion Used this when we got out of the car, as we followed an auto tour cd series...glad we downloaded...need more battles...

Enjoyed every bit of the time in the loop as possible wonderful trip for handicapped vets that are unable to get a seat on the honor flight?

Does not direct you clearly from one vantage point to another. Hard to navigate even though I downloaded the map. Expected more audio than the sidebar clips provided. My 1996 vintage audio tour tape was more substantial. Would pay for a better app.

Latest version broken Used this program a lot last summer, worked great while touring the Devil's Den area. New version now appears to have less detail. Organized by day of battle instead of battlefield area, no more "battlefield challenge". Most importantly, the map no longer works, just loads a blank gray screen with no troops. Field glasses function makes program force close. Was a useful program, too bad dev killed it.

App continually crashes. Tried on three different trips to the battlefield, and it was absolutely awful. Maps keep dropping off and articles create a need to restart app more times than they work. Conceptually a great app that appears to have a great design. Serious work needed.

Great concept but falls far short in reality. Turn by turn directions would
be great. Crashes every time I try to download.
