GHIN is the app built for golfers by the USGA — post scores, track your Handicap Index®, play with GPS, and see the stats that show how your game is trending.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

• Post scores — total score or track hole-by-hole with advanced stats
• Play a round with GPS: simplified setup, richer course graphics, one-handed scoring, or switch to a simple digital Scorecard if you'd rather skip GPS
• See your game in the new Stats section: recent trends, score history, hole-by-hole, advanced stats, and course-specific performance
• Set up and play fair matches against other golfers with a Handicap Index — including front nine / back nine / overall results
• Compete on virtual leaderboards through Challenges, at select courses through your Allied Golf Association

GETTING STARTED & UPGRADES

• Start with a Free Trial: post 3 scores to get an Estimated Handicap Range, and continue posting for 30 days after that
• Enhanced GPS is available as a premium upgrade — Green Maps and front/back yardages on your phone.
• Membership through an Allied Golf Association is required for full app functionality

• Improved stability while GPS loads
• All junior golfers will now inherit Enhanced GPS from guardians

App updated yesterday. When adding golfers for a match, you cannot see the bottom golfer on the list in Handcap Calculator if there are more than 2 golfers selected. Not good!

It would say "gps not available", so I contacted customer service, and they promptly replied with a fix. I appreciated that. It worked. My hope was to use it for gps, scoring, and posting scores so that I could do everything in one app with the added benefit of having hole scores automatically adjusted for handicap. However, I found the gps and scoring much less user-friendly than the 18 Birdies app. So, I will continue to use 18 Birdies for gps and scoring and this app for posting. Oh well.

It was working fine, and now it won't let you post scores, or do anything, as soon as you select the golf course and how you want to enter the score it takes you back to golf course selection.

I use the app only to enter hole by hole scores while playing and that works fine. I only use it for scoring, not gps. I am annoyed by having to dismiss an upgrade message, wait to load my course and then click the edit icon *every* time I open hole-by-hole scoring. After dismissing it 50 times or so you might get the idea that I don't want it the upgrade or any gps features. I would like the option to use a simple scoring interface with no frills please. Now crashing and losing data.

UPDATE: 10/19/25; GPS subscription was purchased but the GPS function hasn't worked for weeks. What did I pay for here? Fix this nonsense or get a refund to me. Extremely handy and useful app for tracking handicap, posting scores and calculating playing handicap on the go. No golfer with a GHIN index should be without this app.
