My donation was rejected due to a past diagnosis of syphilis. Once treated, syphilis poses no risk of transmission through blood, meaning my donation was perfectly healthy. What makes this particularly frustrating is that there was no clear communication beforehand that a past syphilis infection would make my blood ineligible. My time, effort, and blood were wasted because this policy, do better, be better,

FABRICATED SHORTAGE. Scamming people into giving blood and plasma for free while the government of Canada pays for American blood/plasma that American citizens get PAID for to give. So the government of Canada pays USA citizens with our tax$ for their blood/plasma but refuses to pay Canadians. Why not also pay Canadians for our blood and help people survive on the outside of hospitals as well as inside hospitals? WHY IS CANADA RIPPING OFF CANADIANS BUT PAYING AMERICANS?

Jun.2026: Recent update resulted in limited ability to book new appointment more than a month ahead (changing from an earlier appointment, a recent change (email confirmation received) is not showing as my next donation, cannot cancel the hard date listed in the app as CBS preferred donation date for me. FIX IT NOW!!!
