This is a great app. Particularly the "satellites" part. From there, you choose witch section of the globe, and the type of image (IR, water vapor, etc.), and you can plainly see any storm anywhere. This is why smartphones were invented. And that's just 1 free feature. IDK why this app is so far down the list. In combination with a standard weather app, this is a great tool to understand every weather system on earth, including your own!

This app has alot of ads. When you exit this app, the ad will show up unexpectably, and once it shows up, you are not allowed to access this [Global Storms] app. It will force you to download that particular app that is from that ad that shows up right away, and then it will not allow you to leave that particular ad (or app) to order to access this global storms' app, that means access denied to the Global Storms app (e.g., you are locked in that particular ad). To me, it is very annoying.

If you were responsible you would suspend ads for areas experiencing natural disasters. When hurricanes hit, network signals are weak and ads make the app useless.

I used to love this app, but they decided to lace it with a Clapton of advertising. Most of the ads hijack the interface, and you have to dump the app to kill the ad.
