Description
Find the weather forecast for any town in the world. GlobalCast provides the current weather, the forecast at 3-hourly and daily intervals, near real-time local satellite images, and an animated wide-area satellite view for any location. Up to eight towns can be stored for easy re-selection. Weather data is provided by OpenWeatherMap. Satellite images are courtesy of NOAA and NASA.

I use this app almost every evening to download a series of infrared images around the globe. I also download one or more local area images at various zoom levels. I then check out the color wide area view of the United States to see what may be coming my way; then I zoom in on my area. I definitely get a lot of useful imaging. Love the app.

Zero star for these two apps: "Global Cast" and "Weather from NOAA"
developed by Kelly Technology Inc. It opens up and freezes. Cannot even
pick up the African continent much less South Africa. There should be a
warning saying this app will cost you a lot of data without supplying any
service. Absolutely pathetic. Uninstalling. Both of these useless apps.

Good idea... ... poorly developed! No Settings, no possibility of location edition. No map zooming, poor map. No App!
