The Vallorbe Caves have developed an augmented reality application that integrates 3D virtual elements into a real environment. Thanks to this new application, travellers will be able to discover brand new information on the formation of the Vallorbe caves and its history, as well as short quizzes throughout the visit.
This application offers the possibility to choose 3 different ways of visiting the caves:
A fun, educational visit for families and children
A visit for adults who want to learn more about the caves
A visit dedicated to people with reduced mobility who cannot access all the secrets of the Vallorbe caves.
You will find test patterns along the way. By scanning them with your application, you will see new content about the caves appear on your screen. The fairy Valda will be your guide throughout the visit, and you will be guided by her instructions. She will give you an unforgettable experience between reality and the fairy world.

Vallorbe's caves are beautiful and the visit is great, I recommend it. However, the application is terrible. All informations are not kept in cache, and it's therefore totally impossible to start the application during the visit because there is no network... It make it totally useless. On the top of that, languages choices is very limited, they don't even have Italian who is one of the official language in Switzerland... I strongly recommend to not use the app and to take a paper guide...
