Description
GST Compliance Score is a useful app to perform a quick check on any company using just its GSTIN number. It gives a score for the company based on its pattern of return filing.
The GST Compliance Score (GRC Score) can range from 0 to 100. It is calculated using a proprietary algorithm developed by Cygnet GSP which considers whether the company has filed its returns (GSTR-3B) on time or filed them late or not filed at all.
You can do the following with the GST Compliance Score app • Check whether a GSTIN is valid. The app will connect to the GST portal in the background and fetch all the basic information about the GSTIN and display it on the screen. You will be able to see the company’s legal name, taxpayer type, date of registration and its GSTIN status whether active or not.
• Get the GRC Score of the company The app will show you the GRC Score of the company. A score closer to 100 means that the company is regular in filing its returns. A score closer to 0 means the company has problems in filing its returns on time or maybe it is not filing its returns. The GRC score gives more weightage to the returns filing trends in the recent months rather than past months.
• Get the individual month filing details The app will also show you the company’s return filing date for each month. This is a public data which can be retrieved from the GSTN portal. The app uses API to get this data.
