Guardadito: envelope budget

When payday comes, split the money into envelopes: food, rent, transport, going out and your stash. Every expense comes out of an envelope, so you always know how much you can still spend on each thing. It's the classic cash envelope method, in a simple budget planner that works offline.

EVERY ENVELOPE IS A GLASS OF AGUA FRESCA
• Hibiscus, horchata, tamarind, lime, mango… each envelope has its own flavor and icon.
• The drink sits at what you have left: it drops with a wave when you spend, fills with a pour when you budget, and sloshes when you tilt your phone.
• If an envelope goes negative, you see it right away: an empty glass, in red, with how much you overspent.

BUDGET EVERY PESO
• Add what came in and split it up: "left to fill" is always on screen, and it tells you if you go over.
• Shortcuts: everything left, same as last time, or what your fixed expenses need.
• Move money between envelopes whenever you need to.

LOG AN EXPENSE IN TWO TAPS
• A big built-in keypad: type the amount and tap the envelope. Done.
• Optional note, and Undo in case it was the wrong envelope.
• Activity for the period, by envelope, to fix or delete.

AT THE END OF THE PERIOD, YOU DECIDE
• What's left in each envelope goes to your stash, stays in the same envelope or goes back to fill.
• A summary of how it went: what came in, what you spent, what you saved and how many envelopes lasted.
• Your stash is a big jar that keeps filling up, period after period.

YOUR PAY SCHEDULE
• Twice a month (the 15th and the last day), monthly, every two weeks or weekly.
• Free: 5 envelopes counting the stash, plus the current and previous period.

• Savings goals (the TV, the trip, the down payment): how much to set aside each payday and when you'll get there. Setting aside $350 twice a month gets you a $6,000 TV in about 9 months.
