The pve is based on in game resources but the PVP is only limited to having a 1hp. That offsets the long wait times for higher lvl upgrades. One of the best rock, paper scissors styled rts/rpg/mmo battle system for mobile. When it gets repetitive or lonely join a Corporation and try not to die in 4 day long battles against other Corporations. 20 different player controlled ships and an untold number of DMG dealing npcs. Even the p2w isn't bad. Game still requires skill, even the end game.

I've been playing Hades' Star for 4 years. If you like pure strategy Sci fi with simplistic graphics. This is an awesome game that will keep you busy for a very long time. There is no pay to win as it organically takes a very long time to level up. Great Community. Very active and helpful. My only wish is that the developers could add cosmetic technology to spaceships. Given the time invested. Currently, the other players keep my engaged with this game. More so than the play itself. Which is fun

The game is okay, but it takes too much time to upgrade modules and planets, the dark red star of each level is extremely hard, and blue star matchmaking is very unfair to low level players, you could be at level 200 and get matched up against a player of level 999, if you get targeted, there's no way for you to win anything.

I'm a new player and found myself very limited by hydrogen, even more so than other idle games. I've since read up on the history of this game, and it just sounds like a shame. The game has a really good concept, and I actually enjoyed playing it, but I found the update prohibitive rather than pacing. I can't do much at all every time I open the game, and it makes every time I log in feel meaningless. I would've also enjoyed the social elements that apparently the update nixed from the old game.
