Halogen Player features:
- Cast videos to multiple Chromecast or Roku devices at once
- Cast videos to nearby friends and watch together, even if you aren't on Wi-Fi
- Watch videos locally on your device
- Watch on your device, cast to Chromecast and Roku, and cast to friends all at the same time

Things you can do:
- Traveling by plane / train / etc. with friends or family? Watch a video together across multiple phones / tablets, no Wi-Fi needed.
- Need to leave the room while casting? No need to pause, just continue watching on your phone without interrupting the casting.
- Want to play the same video on multiple TVs? Halogen can cast to multiple Chromecast and Roku devices at the same time.

More info:
- Videos can be files on your device, or they can come from a DLNA (UPnP) media server on your Wi-Fi network.
- Subtitle support includes SRT, SSA, and VTT.
- Video format support includes MP4, MKV, AVI, FLV, and more.
- Audio transcoding is supported, so encodings like DTS and AC3 will work even if the Chromecast / Roku device doesn't support it.
- Video codec support is dependent on the device. Some Roku or Chromecast devices won't support certain codecs. H264 video is usually a safe choice!

Recent changes:
Improved video player performance and memory usage. Fixed out-of-memory crash that could occur when playing videos on some older Android devices.

This is the best app I've found for casting videos to my Roku. It also works well on my Chromecast / Google TV, though I don't use that as much. And it's a solid normal video player too.

Needs more settings so you can select from multiple audio tracks and subtitles, otherwise it works decently.

The app worked great for about an hour. I was super happy to find an app that easily casts videos to my tv from my phone without any lag time! But then it started constantly disconnecting from my Roku tv. It got to the point that it wouldn't stay connected for longer than a minute before disconnecting again. I changed the app settings to recommended, but it didn't help.

I have been trying for 3 hours to send my phone to my tv, so I can game on a bigger screen. This application is not anything remotely useful.
