Comments on mconnect Player Lite – Cast AV for Android

★★★★★ Lee Barlow · Oct 25, 2021

Much better than other upnp/Dlna players works a treat through my naim uniti via the upnp setting and no longer limited to just 16 bit tidal or spotify connect via the built-in naim app as this plays tidal masters and Soyuz hi-res files too, and I reckon sounds better too. Just brilliant. Give it a go if you have upnp/dlna functions on your hifi you won't be disappointed.

★★★★★ C P · Jan 14, 2021

If you have any multiroom speaker or Wi-Fi speaker, and its app doesn't support Tidal, connect Player is the best alternative app.

★★★★★ Mark Brough · Sep 20, 2022

Just worked! Intuitive and obvious. Controlling the playing of music files via Moode from a USB drive on a RPi to a DAC. Which I had spent hours failing to get working using BubbleUPnP.

★☆☆☆☆ David Farley · Oct 18, 2021

I tried everything to get this to play tracks from my albums correctly but no matter what I did it repeated the same track. FRUSTRATING!

★☆☆☆☆ Graeme Smith · Oct 22, 2025

Doesn't detect my streamer despite company that wrote connect built the streamers network module. Could be android16 at work...

★★☆☆☆ Tarandeep Singh · May 29, 2020

Though I like features, I'm not happy with audio quality. I'm playing FLAC files from tidal on my audiophile receiver renderer, and I can feel quality is worse than mp3 when compared to bubble upnp. Is there some sort of compression. Is it not a bit perfect?

★☆☆☆☆ Glynn Coxon · Jul 11, 2020

Didn't work on my SOTM sms-200 streamer. Kept repeating the same song over and over no matter what the setting.
