Harry's LapTimer is the advanced tool for car enthusiast. It records all types of sensor data provided by your smartphone (or external sensors), combines them, and makes them available to optimize your drive. Over time, you will get insights on your car and in your driving, not known before.
LapTimer offers more than 800 predefined racing tracks world wide. With its assistants, it is extremely easy to setup - just click your track and drive. It fully automates your lap timing using GPS, and presents the results to all kinds of media.
You are not limited to track driving. For example, you may define your home and working locations as a 'track', collect statistics on different ways chosen, and analyze / optimize the time used every day.
Want to show your drive to your friends? Recorded data can be analyzed using purpose designed views, making it easy to analyze and improve your driving performance. This includes several export formats including Google Earth.
Using online racing, you can use LapTimer in competition. LapTimer offers a Hall of Fame, allows watching you and your friends on track - all in real time. Compare your sector times, braking / acceleration points, and learn from each other.
You can start with your plain smartphone in the beginning and add external GPS and OBD II sensors later, step by step, and as you need it.

This is the Petrolhead Edition of Harry's LapTimer. The main differences compared to Rookie Edition are video recording in parallel to data recordings as well as full on device video overlaying. In addition, LapTimer Petrolhead features advanced analytics and online functions.
Important: As a power app, LapTimer is quite demanding in terms of main memory and processing power. The Geekbench benchmark shows a good comparison of current devices and their processing performance. My tests using LapTimer v18 show you need a device scoring 1200 in the MultiCore benchmark to have fun. This means a device like Samsung's S III is kind of the lower end. Especially when recording and overlaying video, go as far up as possible.

Great app, awesome developer! Harry's is a highly accurate tool for recording lap times, analyzing data or just making really cool videos overlaid with on board telemetry. While setup at first appears complex, it's actually quite easy to get started using the in-app guide or online tutorials. I've even created, submitted and had approved a certified track set for my local motorsports complex. However, what sets Harry's Lap Timer apart is the responsiveness and helpfulness of the developer. Kudos to Harry!

Excellent Track Day App Takes a little bit of reading to figure everything out but well worth the effort. Absolutely love this app - hands-free lap timing, lots of analytics, connects easily and consistently to my ODB2 device via Bluetooth. Waste of money and if I could get my money back I would if I have known sooner it wouldn't work when I was doing track days on my race bike I would never have downloaded this app

Lot of money (including the upgrade) to find out it doesn't support gopro triggering and overlay on Android. Use Track Addict, it's free and works great!

Couldn't get video to work s7 Way too complicated. WTF with video???? Not user-friendly or intuitive. $20 and lost memories down the drain for track day today. Ridiculous. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ANDROID USERS.

I really had high hopes for this app. I took it out to the streets of Willow last weekend. In both recording sessions the overlay data is totally wrong in fact when I first started using the app I'm sitting still pulling 50 mph and 1G. It seems to me this app was an overly ambitious project for one guy. I hope that the issues can be fixed, and I hope that there's better videos on how to set this thing up and get it working. For example, one wrong finger swipe and one of my sessions was deleted. No warning, nothing. In addition, the interface is totally unintuitive. I think overall the app needs a complete overhaul to make it simpler as the app seems to have evolved into something totally different from which it been intended and the GUI is not designed for what it is today.
