HD Wallpapers & 4K Backgrounds

Find HD wallpapers for your phone: real high-resolution photos from Wikimedia Commons, with an exact crop preview and a one-tap set for home or lock screen.

Every picture is a real photograph chosen as a Featured picture by the Wikimedia Commons community, and every photo is at least 8 megapixels. No AI art, no ringtones, no clutter. Just good images, credited to the people who took them.

Browse by subject, search for what you like, then check how the photo will sit on your screen before you commit.

Eleven collections
• Landscapes, Mountains, Sunsets & Sunrises and Ocean & Beaches
• Forests & Trees, Flowers, Sky & Clouds and Lakes & Waterfalls
• Space, Cities & Night and Birds
• Sort by Popular or Newest, or search a collection for words like aurora, tulips or glacier
• More collections are on the way

Preview, then set
• Full-screen preview framed to your phone's screen
• Drag the photo to choose which part shows
• Set it on your home screen or lock screen (both at once with Premium)
• The wallpaper is rendered at your screen's full resolution

Save and keep
• Download up to Full HD free, or 4K and the original file with Premium, to Pictures/HD Wallpapers
• Favorites are kept on your phone, so your list is always there
• Recently viewed pictures stay available without a connection

Credit for every photo
Each wallpaper shows its photographer and license (public domain, CC0, CC BY or CC BY-SA), with a link to the original file on Wikimedia Commons. The Image credits screen lists every photo you have used.

Good to know
• Most photos load over the internet from Wikimedia Commons. The 44 photos built into the app work without a connection.
• Large photos can take a moment on a slow connection.
• The app interface is in English.

Free, with ads, and Premium
HD Wallpapers & 4K Backgrounds is free to download and supported by ads: a banner on the browsing screens and a short ad after you close a preview. Ads never cover the preview itself. Free with ads. Premium removes ads and unlocks every premium feature: $3.99 per month, $39.99 per year, or $59.99 one time (lifetime). Prices may vary by country.
Free includes browsing, search, the Photo of the day, 44 offline photos, Landscapes, Mountains and Sunsets & Sunrises, downloads up to Full HD, setting a wallpaper on your home screen or lock screen, and up to 25 favorites. If you used the app before Premium plans, you keep what you already had.
Premium adds:
• 4K and original-size downloads
• Home and lock screen in one tap
• Every collection, with no limit
• Auto-changer: a fresh wallpaper every 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours, with a Wi-Fi only option
• Widescreen Desktop pack and the Ultra 4K filter (photos of 6000 pixels or more)
• Unlimited favorites
Premium unlocks app features, not the photos: every picture stays a free Wikimedia Commons work under its own license. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled; manage or cancel in Google Play under Payments and subscriptions. Lifetime is paid once.

Privacy
No account and no sign-up. Your favorites and settings stay on your phone. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which may use your device advertising ID depending on your consent choices. Read the privacy policy in the app or on our website.

Photos: Wikimedia Commons contributors, each credited in the app with its license. This app is made by Ecom Swift LLC and is not affiliated with the Wikimedia Foundation.
