Description
CardioMood - a scientific approach to your heart rate. Measure heart rate and stress level!
CardioMood Heart Rate and Stress is completely free and will stay free. Right now this is the best app for heart rate variability (HRV) analysis on the market. You can monitor your parameters as long as you want. Store data and see a complete report on your HRV (including spectral analysis). The app allows you to export data as text.
You can evaluate your stress level and estimate health of your heart.

★ THIS APP REQUIRES A HEART RATE SENSOR!!! ★
Make sure you have this sensor. It can be for example Polar H7 HRM or Mio Alpha (can be purchased in Amazon)!
Key features
✓ Displaying current heart rate and stress ✓ Analyzing stress level (by heart rate variability) ✓ Analyzing your energy level (good for fitness) ✓ Different visual representation of collected data with description ✓ Cloud storage of your data ✓ Uses Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth SMART) technology ✓ Exporting source data (and all calculated parameters) to txt file ✓ Web-site beta.cardiomood.com
We've tested our app on Motorola DROID RAZR (Android 4.0+), Samsung Galaxy S3 and S3 mini (with Android 4.3+), Galaxy Note, Sony Xperia, Nexus 5
Limitations
★ This application currently supports devices with Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (Motorola phones with Android 4.0+ and all other phones with Android 4.3+). ★ If you have Android 4.3 the application supports all Bluetooth 4.0 heart rate sensors.
Due to Android Bluetooth Low Energy support limitations, this app only supports devices running Android 4.3 and above, the Samsung GS4 (Android 4.2+), and the following HTC devices - HTC One, HTC Droid DNA and HTC One X+ (Android 4.3+). Please note once again that your device must have hardware that supports Bluetooth SMART.
If your device is not supported, please don't give my app a bad rating because it is out of my control. If you'd like to know why your device is not supported, please email me at anton.danshin@frtk.ru.
In the future we are going to support a much wider range of Android devices and heart rate monitors.
Instructions
★ Using CardioMood stress estimation ★
The app can be used for stress estimation:
1. Connect the app to your heart rate sensor 2. Click START to start recording data. 3. After 2 minutes you will see your current stress level 4. Click STOP to finish measurement and review report
★ Using CardioMood in fitness and sport ★
The app can be used in fitness. During your workouts take a look at the "battery" indicator on monitoring screen.
1. At the beginning of your fitness activity check your energy level. Green "battery" indicator means that your are fully recovered and ready to start working out. 2. Begin your exercise. As you are working out the app will show your current stress level and energy level. During exercise stress level can significantly go up (up to 1000+ units), while your energy level will slowly start to drop. 3. Low level of energy (red battery and less than 15%) shows that you have to stop current exercise, have some rest until the battery indicator shows more than 75%. It is better to continue training when the battery shows stable green color or at least yellow.

★★★★★
Best HRV app! Great free app, several metrics, only thing missing is some info on what those metrics mean, beyond the energy meter shown during measurements. Confirmed working with Wahoo TICKR X (Bluetooth Smart/Ant+), not only H7, even if it sounds like that's the only one.
★★★★★
Works fine on my Motorola Droid RAZR MAXX I measure stress of all my family members now. Turns out sometimes it is really hard to tell you are stressed without good equipment! But now with CardioMood I know my stress level precisely.

Keep adding more features The last version is nice. Keep adding more features.
★★★★★
GS4 & H7 Works perfectly some interesting data. Would be nice to show on a graph over time.
★★☆☆☆
Heart rate specifics Will not work with Polar iWL heart rate monitor on a Nexus 5. Requires specific H7. Did not try any other monitors.
★★☆☆☆
Hidden Air-Push ads/tracker inside No apparent way to disable the air-push framework from within the application. Privacy policy does not indicate what data is being collected from or pushed to your device. If it acts like spyware, treat it like spyware. Recommend uninstalling. There several much better HRV apps available now.
★★☆☆☆
No connect to Polar Program did found my Polar iWL but could not be able to connect to it. S3 (A4.3)
★★☆☆☆
No ant+ Ant+ is widely used now, there are many benefits over bluetooth. Why not implement such modern protocol?
