INTENDED USE Hedia Diabetes Assistant is a multi-platform application (software as a medical device) with no body contact, intended to support the decision-making of rapid-acting bolus insulin dose for the management of insulin-dependent diabetes by providing the user with an insulin bolus dose recommendation.
INDICATIONS FOR USE Hedia Diabetes Assistant is intended to be used when the user would normally check glucose and inject insulin. The indications for using Hedia Diabetes Assistant are:
– Type 1 or 2 diabetes treated with rapid-acting insulin. – The user has to have the cognitive and physical skills to use mobile applications.
The users’ insulin treatment is prescribed, monitored, and managed by their health care professional (HCP).
CONTRAINDICATIONS For safety reasons, Hedia Diabetes Assistant should not be used by persons with the following conditions.
– Pregnancy – Gestational diabetes – Under the age of 18 years

I started using Media alongside the Libra in early January, as I'm trying to get onto a pump, and it's made my life alot easier, carb counting is so much easier and calculating my insulin seems to be more correct, my hba1c has dropped from 113 🙄 to 57 thank you, I would defiantly recommend this app xx

A great app if you have type 1 diabetes and use multi daily injection regime. Easy to use with a pleasing interface. Just work out your carb to insulin ratios first and input the data. Then at meal times just input your blood glucose from your finger prick test or cgm, input your carbs and the app works out your insulin dose. Seems very accurate at counting down your onboard bolus insulin and really eliminates stacking, as well as very useful for correction dose calculations.

Looks great but have found it very hard to use. I see there was another review saying it wouldn't sync with a Glucose Areo 2K meter. This is the meter I have, and it won't sync with mine either.

Good to see all functionality and results listed on single page, and also some technical adjustments to account for different insulin types. But app doesn't provide a list of foods and carb values to select from (devs may want to see My fitness pal for good example of how this could work). Only one Bluetooth testing device provided for at present, so -1 star for that. Settings only provide for a single carb:insulin ratio (out of line with DAFNE). No sync with other useful apps e.g. MFP, Strata etc

Can't and won't update, just stuck not updating and keeps asking for me to update, I have used it for more than a year and my rating would be higher if not for the crashes

The app crashes instantly for me since the update on 30/03/2023. I have tried contacting you guys via email. The contact form on your site seems to be broken as well. That is annoying in and of itself. But if you were never taught how to figure out the needed amount of insulin on your own because you were handed this app you will be scared. Never mind that can't log in on the site to get my insulin to carb ratio. Thank goodness I have very consistent eating habits which eased the learning curve.
